Head2Heart Cancer Foundation and Africana Children’s Education Fund are hosting their first annual Gala Fundraising event to be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Adams Pointe Conference Center in Blue Springs Missouri from 7:30-Midnight. This year’s theme is

Head2Heart Cancer Foundation’s mission is to provide hair replacement assistance to young girls and women diagnosed with cancer and experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy treatment. Head2Heart Cancer Foundation founder Jerry Pursley, a two-time cancer survivor, experienced hair loss as a result of chemotherapy treatment. Jerry vowed to develop a more pleasant and personal experience for young girls and women needing hair replacement. Although Jerry is grateful to be alive, the feelings carried away from an insensitive experience during a very sensitive time has led her to want to make a difference for others.

Africana Children’s Education Fund’s mission is to educate orphan and abandoned children in Ghana Africa. Dr. Peter Osei Kwame knows the importance of having a place to live and an education. Dr. Osei Kwame was orphaned as a child, but was later adopted by a family in Ghana. His new family encouraged his educational aspirations, which led him to America. After retiring from his government position, Dr Osei Kwame has begun his life’s mission of providing a safe living environment and educational opportunities to orphaned children in Ghana, Africa. The orphanage is scheduled to open in August 2009. The children will receive an education, housing, food, and clothing through the Africana Children’s Education Fund.

We are asking you and other generous individuals, businesses, and organizations to assist Head2Heart Cancer Foundation and Africana Children’s Education Fund reach their goals of raising ($10,000) each by contributing one (1) donated item for each organization for the Auction at the Gala Ball Fundraising Event. You are also cordially invited to join us for this great event. Tickets are available for $50 per person to celebrate with us on this momentous occasion. We also have vendor booth space available for those who have products to sell to our 300 attendees.
