In every country there are thousands of children who are abandoned, homeless, hungry, abused, missing education and therefore hopelessly not going anywhere with their lives. Approximately, 10 million children worldwide, who are under the age of 5, die every year from preventable diseases and the HIV epidemic. These children need your help and my help to make a difference in their lives. They need housing, food, clothing, education, medical care, love and financial support. Most countries have laws on the books offering free and compulsory education up to age 14, but these laws are difficult to enforce, without the cooperation of parents and concerned citizens. Governments alone cannot shoulder these responsibilities. With the breakdown of the age-old social insurance provided by the extended family structures, the number of children needing help is rising everyday.

Africana Children’s educational fund [ACEF] was started to make an effort to meet the survival and developmental needs of orphaned, abandoned and homeless children in the developing countries, especially in Africa, the Caribbean and South America. The immediate need is to seek sponsors who will provide for the critical needs of these children in their home countries, by making sure that they have food, clothing, housing, education and medical care. Secondly, ACEF has started the operation of orphanages to streamline and direct the education of orphans and to provide loving care.

Thirdly, ACEF has begun to facilitate the adoption of children into loving and caring families, in or outside their home countries, whenever adoption is considered a viable alternative solution.

Lastly, the construction and management of modern pre-school and elementary schools are part of the future plans of ACEF inc.
